Horse Powered Reading® is very similar to our Reading with a Buddy program. It has all the same benefits HOWEVER the key difference is Horse Powered Reading® takes extra steps that actually helps teach the student key literacy skills like how to read, how to make connections, how to reflect, how to identify and many other skills that will help them take their reading to the next level.

Horse Powered Reading® integrates Equine Assisted Learning with academics. Sessions allow students to see and experience reading with their entire mind, body and emotions by creating metaphors for the skills involved in reading. Students interact with horses from the ground, while using toys and props to identify obstacles and learn five critical reading skills - phonemic awareness, decoding, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension.
